Payment Gateway How it worksPaymentsGateway.net is a high performance financial transaction gateway that is used for obtaining authorizations, settlement and/or funding, in addition to comprehensive reporting for transactions via the internet. Communications to the gateway can come in a number of different forms including TCP/IP Socket connection, HTTP, and FTP. PaymentsGateway.net uses a client/server architecture to transfer transactional data from the point of origination (merchant’s website or transaction server) to the some of the largest financial processing centers in the world. Transactional data is submitted for funding and then response information is returned to the point of origination. The PaymentsGateway.net transaction processors take the secure and/or encrypted transaction data from the merchants via the Direct Socket Interface (DSI) and process it in real-time. Next, the response information is returned to the client for fulfillment typically within 2-3 seconds.
