What do we do? We promote and facilitate funding services, working primarily with attorneys, but also with plaintiffs, to provide innovative legal funding solutions. We are committed to assisting litigants and the legal community at large to realize the judgment awards they deserve by offering: Pre-settlement Plaintiff Funding, Attorney's Receivables Funding, Commercial Litigation Funding, Expert Witness Funding and Appeals Funding. What is Pre-Settlement Plaintiff Funding? It is the process of advancing risk capital to plaintiffs with pending personal injury and insurance related claims. Our clients usually need funds to satisfy personal financial obligations while they wait for their settlement. On average, 9,150 people are injured everyday in auto accidents alone in this country. This doesn't even take into consideration the thousands of people injured through other forms of negligence. While waiting for lawsuits to be settled, pressing financial needs often arise. But these injury victims often have nowhere to turn, having already tapped family and friends. The system fails millions of victims every year this way, their suffering is prolonged as they await compensation. A little money can go a long way toward sustaining them and their families during this time of waiting. These transactions are typically small, $2,000 to $10,000 and are made on a contingency basis. In other words, if the plaintiff does not settle their case they do not have to pay our fee. What is Attorney's Receivables Funding? We are able to provide receivables funding to attorneys with pending settlements and judgments. Until now there was no company offering this type of service to the legal community. Advances are made to qualifying attorneys and law firms, using the attorney receivables and open cases as collateral. This is a progressive program, whereby an attorney can receive operating capital on the strength of his receivables and cases with personal guarantee from the attorney or principals of the firm without additional collateral. Attorney Receivables Funding is the only service that can be structured as a loan. What is Commercial Litigation Funding? We provide capital to plaintiffs and attorneys to cover the high cost of pursuing multibillion-dollar lawsuits in exchange for a percentage of the judgment or settlement. Whether it's a breach of contract, antitrust, or unfair business practice, it's commonly a situation where a smaller company is suing a large one. Unfortunately, the large company (the defendant) will typically use it's financial resources to hire the best law firms, the smartest experts, and often delay trail. Commercial litigation attorneys seldom work on contingency, so if the plaintiff is unable to pay, the case can be lost. Our advances can mean the difference between a multimillion-dollar award or settlement an nothing. Returns on these types of cases can range from 200% to 2000%. What is Appeals Funding? We make non-recourse advances to judgment creditors whose successful trial verdict is on appeal. So if a plaintiff wins his case but the case is being appealed, we will advance money to him provided his case qualifies. We actually purchase a portion of the judgment based on the risk associated with the issues on appeal. What is Expert Witness Funding? We provide money to plaintiffs to cover expert witness or other litigation expenses directly related to the client's case. If the client's case qualifies for an advance, we will advance the funds required by the client to obtain necessary experts or cover other litigation costs.
